Joyce's open discount store at Tuam Shopping Centre

THE last vacant unit at Tuam Shopping Centre will be filled this week when Joyce's, who operate the supermarket at the centre, open a discount store.[private] Known as JB Stores, the new outlet promises 'bargains with a bite'. It will stock a range of goods including gardening supplies, office and stationery items, household and party ware and haberdashery. It will open on Friday, next door to the supermarket. Pat Joyce said that since they opened just before Christmas, four new businesses had come to this part of the town. 'It shows our interest in and commitment to the town and the shopping centre. We are here for the long term. 'I want to thank our customers, staff and management for the way they have supported us since we opened.' Mr Joyce said he was feeling very positive about business, and was looking forward to starting work on a new supermarket at their original site in Headford. On future expansion plans, he said that they were always on the lookout for suitable locations.[/private]
