Strictly comes to Claregalway
THINGS are hotting up ahead of the grand finale of Galway's answer to Strictly Come Dancing at the Claregalway Hotel on Saturday, November 27. Four of the city's biggest companies are getting prepared at this very moment to tango and salsa and bolero in a colourful and dramatic fundraiser for CD's Helping Hands, the Children's Cancer Charity for the West. Teams of ballroom dancers from NUI Galway, the Department of Defence, Caragh Precision and the Citybin Company have offered their talents and are currently putting in long hours of technical dance training in preparation for this challenge. CD's Helping Hands provides practical support to families in the West of Ireland who are affected by childhood cancer. It is the only dedicated charity for children suffering from cancer in Ireland today. CD's Helping Hands depends entirely on fundraising. Tickets for the final â€Ëœdance off' are available at the hotel, online at www.cdshelpinghands.ie, or by phoning 087-6600103.
