How business can be greener and reduce costs

IRISH businesses are facing difficult times at present. While it might be perceived that environmental matters are of less importance at this time, there really has never been a better opportunity to examine the potential for reducing costs and increasing marketing advantage. [private] Improved management of key issues such as resource efficiency, energy efficiency, waste reduction and carbon management can lead to real bottom line savings. Galway County Council in conjunction with Enterprise Ireland and the Connacht Regional Waste Management Office are hosting a half day environmental information seminar aiming to assist business improve their environmental performance and reduce costs. This seminar will contain presentations from a number of government agencies and private companies and will concentrate on how businesses can achieve real savings and market opportunities through environmental improvements. The seminar will be held on November 23 in the Claregalway Hotel, from 9.30 am to 12.30 and is free of charge.
