Crowds of 3,000 expected at local Fairy Hill Fest

THE organisers of a one-day music and arts festival near Castlehackett, Belclare, Tuam in August are hoping for more than 3,000 to attend the event. The Fairy Hill Music and Arts Festival will feature 34 acts over three stages and takes place on August 13. The event aims to promote Galway's music and arts while showcasing some of Ireland's best bands and DJs. There will be a main outdoor stage, a dance tent with a capacity for 1,000 people and a reggae tent for up to 600 people. Of the 34 acts taking part, 16 are from Galway. Tickets priced €59 include free bus transport from Galway if required. The line-up includes Whipping Boy, Delorentos, The Ralphs and So Cow from Tuam, Ultan Conlon while there are plenty of acts of for dance and reggae fans too. Visit www.fairyhillfestival.com.
