Surviving in difficult economic times
AGAINST a backdrop of unprecedented turmoil, and the difficult challenges currently facing Irish businesses, Galway Chamber, KPMG and the Revenue have joined forces to bring experts in the field of cash flow, cost reduction and taxation to Galway. Entitled â€ËœSurviving in these Difficult Times' the seminar will feature advice from Selwyn Hearns, partner in KPMG, who will speak on cash flow management and cost reduction, Cormac Gilhooley, Principal Officer, Revenue in Galway County and Eddie Horgan, Principal Officer in the Collector General's office. Chamber President Carmel Brennan said that it will be informative, will give a clear picture of the current economic situation relating to business and a roadmap for what needs to be done into the future. KPMG partner Galway and Chamber Council member Brian Thornton said that the event would be an excellent opportunity for business to hear what the experts have to say, apply it to their own situation and pose their own particular questions. The event will begin with registration and refreshments at 9am in the Ballyvaughan Suite in the Galway Bay Hotel on Tuesday 5th April. Admittance is free to Chamber members and €20 for non-members. Booking prior to the event is advisable and can be done by calling Elaine on 091-563536 or by emailing elaine@galwaychamber.com.
