Rising star Lisa McHugh records Christmas duet with Daniel O'Donnell
IRELAND'S latest rising star Lisa McHugh has had the privilege of recording a Christmas duet with her good friend and worldwide country superstar Daniel O'Donnell. Their new duet is an up-tempo song entitled I'll Be Home With Bells On. It was written by Dolly Parton and has been recorded by Dolly and Kenny Rogers. This single was recorded and produced by Lisa's MD and piano player Ray McLoughlin at his RMC Studios, Mullingar and also at Studio 19 in Nashville TN. Affectionately known as â€ËœIreland's sweetheart of Country Music', Lisa felt very honoured when Daniel accepted her suggestion to record this duet. He very kindly fitted the recording of his part into his busy schedule between appearances in UK and travelling to the USA. Lisa is a big fan of Daniel's since a very young age when her mum and dad would bring her along to his show at every opportunity. Having received several awards and released two albums and five singles in her short musical career, Lisa McHugh is in great demand. She featured on Hot Country on SKY TV Showcase Channel 201 during the month of November. Having recently co-hosted the Afternoon Show with its presenter Hugo Duncan on BBC Radio Ulster as part of the Children In Need appeal fund, Lisa proved a huge success with listeners calling in from as far away as Canada and Australia.
