Cash for rural roads

[private]SOME rural roads around North and East Galway will benefit from grants of between €8,000 and €208,000. Cllr Michael Connolly, a member of the Council Roads and Transportation SPC has welcomed the funding. He says that this is a much-needed boost and will help bring many roads that are in need of upgrading to a satisfactory condition. Some of the areas to benefit include Trasternagh to Cloonascragh €55,000 Currafarry €150,000,  Lissananny €38,000, Windfield Lower €27,000,  Cloonbar €63,000,  Carrontubber West €35,000,  Deerpark €49,000,  Liskeavey €8,500, Loughpark-Bushtown €43,796,  Gurteen €135,000, Stowlodge €25,000, Hollygrove €160,000, and Kilconnell to Bunowen Bridge €208,000.[/private]
