Death of Mrs Kitty Burke, Tuam

THE death occurred on Easter Sunday at her home on Galway Road, Tuam, of Mrs Kitty Burke, widow of Kevin Burke, a director of The Tuam Herald. Mrs Burke, née Moran, Ballygaddy Road, had been ill for some time. She is survived by her children Mary, Aongus, Kevin, Terence and Kathryn, brothers Tommy, Seamus and Patrick, sisters Evelyn and Siobhán, and extended family. She was pre-deceased by her eldest son, Iain, also a director of the Herald. Her remains will repose at Grogan's Funeral Home from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday before removal to the Cathedral of the Assumption. Her funeral will follow Requiem Mass at 11 am on Friday.
