Abbey's Cosa Beoga wow RTE judges

COSA BEOGA, the group for junior members of the Abbeyknockmoy Set Dancing Club, stole the hearts of Daithi O'Shea, Sile Seoige and Paraic Breathnach in the auditions for The All Ireland Talent Show, broadcast on RTE 1 last Sunday evening. Cosa Beoga combine talent and tradition, and are a real joy to watch. The group perform an exciting range of dance forms, including sean nós, brush dancing and set dancing. The junior dancers range in age from eight to 13, and are very excited and proud to be representing their parish, community, and their county in The All Ireland Talent Show. The inspiration behind these dancers is Marie Moran-Greaney who has lead the Abbeyknockmoy Set Dancing  club to numerous all-Ireland titles, and many performances in both national and international events over the past 12 years. An RTE film crew will spend a day in Abbeyknockmoy very early in the New Year to get a feel for the background of each of these ten dancers. This footage will be included in the live RTE show on January 30, where Cosa Beoga will dance for the nation and be judged by the panel of adjudicators representing each province. The Cosa Beoga members are: Joseph and Keith Boyle, Colin Kelly, Adam and Lauren Hession, Meabh Boyle, Elisha Conneely, Lorna Devane, Robert Carr and Shauna Boyle. The group will be accompanied by  renowned musicians Michael Sexton and Pat Walsh.  The group is appealing to the North Galway public to vote for them on January 30. Cosa Beoga will also be performing at numerous events in the coming weeks and months. More details are available on the Cosa Beoga Facebook page.
