Galway primed to retain title

THE Galway senior hurlers bid to win only their third-ever Leinster title since joining the competition back in 2009 when they travel to Croke Park on Sunday (throw-in: 4pm).

Standing in their way are Brian Cody’s Kilkenny, a team who have won the Bob O’Keeffe Cup an incredible 15 times during his legendary 19 years in charge of the Cats.
During that tenure, Cody’s men have only lost one provincial final to the Tribesmen, by a ten-point margin in 2012, showing how efficient Kilkenny are once they reach the business end of things.
