McGrath relishing Corofin’s return to Croke Park

ALL-IRELAND CLUB final day at Croke Park. For GAA players up and down the lands, it’s their Mecca, the stuff of dreams are made of, everything they aspire to when pulling on their parish colours.

Ciaran McGrath has experienced all that it entails and wrote himself into Corofin folklore by playing through cruciate ligament damage to help his side claim their second All-Ireland title at GAA headquarters three years ago.
Three years on, McGrath, now Corofin captain, is looking ahead to a first-ever meeting with Cork kingpins, Nemo Rangers ... Football is something he has always grown up with.

"You dwelt about getting there just to see what it was like. You knew what it was like as a spectator and you want to live it out going to Dublin on Paddy’s Day and be togging out, walking behind the band and playing. You just want to be part of that because you grew up with it I suppose."
