Three first half goals lay foundation for visitors' success

At Tuam Stadium

AFTER an impressive start from Tuam-Cortoon the home dream gradually began to slip away and as Aghada banged home the goals it was the Cork side who were heading for an All-Ireland junior club final.

The outcome left the home players and supporters crestfallen as they departed Tuam Stadium on Sunday afternoon, but sometimes one has to accept the fact that the better team won and the outcome were certainly clear on this occasion.
Michael Hogan's team were more than a match for the visitors in the opening half, but despite enjoying the advantage of playing into the Town goal with the wind at their backs, they still found themselves nine points in arrears at the break.
