Ladies take on Rebelettes

FOR the second time in three years Galway will meet Cork at the quarter-final stage of the All-Ireland Senior Ladies Football Championship.

Stephen Glennon's team make their way to Westmeath, and Cusack Park in Mullingar to be precise, for the relatively early throw-in time of 12.30pm, in a game which will be shown live on TG4. Following that, Ulster champions Donegal face Mayo at the same venue, and the winners of the double-header will play one another in the All-Ireland semi-final.
It certainly is the harder side of the draw that Galway find themselves on, but there is a perception out there that Cork may have slipped, ever so slightly, from their lofty pedestal.
Cork manager Ephie Fitzgerald is unable to call upon a number of key figures who featured in last year's All-Ireland final win over Dublin.
