Tuam Stars and Salthill tie the pick of Galway SFC draw

A NUMBER of interesting pairings emerged following the draws for the second round of the Galway Senior and Intermediate Football Championships last Wednesday.
The ten games in senior and eight in intermediate are provisionally fixed for the weekend of June 17-18, but that may depend on how Galway’s Connacht semi-final showdown with Mayo goes on Sunday, June 11.
In the winners side of the senior draw, four of the five games could potentially go either way. You would have to anticipate Corofin will have far too much for Moycullen, who will be without Peter Cooke, but may be in a position to welcome Gareth Bradshaw back.
The Tuam Stars vs Salthill-Knocknacarra and Annaghdown vs Mountbellew-Moylough matches should both draw good crowds.
