Corofin face 'their biggest test' on Saturday - Fitzgerald

KIERAN Fitzgerald has been here many times before. Whether it be in the maroon jersey of Galway or the yellow number three with Corofin, All-Ireland semi-finals remain special occasions for the Claremorris-based Garda and on Saturday afternoon at Páirc na nGael, he’ll don the club colours and put his shoulder to the wheel as they go after a St Patrick’s Day final appearance.
Just Dr Crokes, St Vincent’s, Slaughtneil and themselves remain in the race for the Andy Merrigan Cup and Fitz gerald admits he’s relishing the prospect of his fourth February semi-final, even if the win over Vincent’s two years ago is outweighed by defeats to Kilmacud Crokes (2009) and St Gall’s (2010).
“It’s great to be in it,” says Fitzgerald.
