Impressive galway ladies move top of division 1

Galway 4-15 Tyrone 1-6

A SUPERB first half from Galway ladies footballers paved the way for a facile 18-point victory over Tyrone in their Tesco Homegrown National League Division 1 clash at Tuam Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Combined with results elsewhere, it was a win that maintained their unbeaten run in the competition and helped Kevin Reidy’s side move to the summit of the table. Monaghan’s surprise defeat of Cork along with Mayo’s victory in Dublin allowed Galway claim top spot after three rounds, and given the standard of this performance, even allowing for the weak challenge posed by the Red Hand County, they are clearly a side going places.
