Local post offices to close

AT LEAST 11 post offices in County Galway have accepted An Post’s voluntary retirement package and are set to close, with seven of them located in East Galway.
The closures are resulting from an agreement reached between An Post and the Postmasters Union to make the current network more efficient, with 300 rural post offices around the country offered the package.
Post offices in Galway that have accepted redundancy include Ballyglunin, Colemanstown, Menlough, Kiltulla, Kylebrack, Woodlawn, Glinsk, Cloghbrack, Cornamona, Inverin and Lettermullen.
