Tuam school and Glinsk creche targeted in burglaries

GARDAÍ in Tuam are appealing for information after a primary school in the town was broken into.

The incident happened at St Patrick’s Primary School on Dublin Road in the early hours of yesterday (Tuesday) morning.
A number of windows were smashed at 1.40am and a considerable amount of damage done to the school.
The school alarm was triggered during the incident with those responsible failing to gain access to the school office.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone with any information to come forward to Tuam Garda Station on 093 70840 where Garda Frank Breslin is investigating.
In a separate incident, a considerable amount of cash was stolen from a childcare centre in Glinsk during a break-in last week.
The building was broken into last Thursday night, July 12 and Gardaí in Williamstown and Tuam are appealing for anyone who noticed suspicious people or activity in the village on the day or evening in question to come forward.
