Menlough sisters chop hair in aid of needy peers

TWO Menlough sisters have donated their precious locks to help make much needed wigs for children living with the hair loss due to cancer treatment or alopecia.

Shannon (8) and Rachael Byrne aged seven, bravely decided to chop their hair after two years of growth following a suggestion from their mother Fionnuala to donate it to the Rapunzel Foundation, a voluntary organisation that helps source and sponsor “Freedom” wigs for young alopecia sufferers.
