Work to begin by year-end on new home for Tuam’s Special School

WORK is expected to begin on the construction of a new school for St Oliver’s Special School in Tuam before the end of this year.

It’s almost 12 months since planning permission was granted for the new multi-million-euro facility in the town centre which will allow for the further expansion of the school and will transform the daily lives of the pupils and staff. The school is run under the auspices of Ability West and caters for children with moderate or severe learning difficulties.
