Tuam’s talented fashionistas aim for catwalk glory

FOUR teams of talented fashionistas are making their way to Dublin this morning (Wednesday) to represent their Tuam schools in this year’s Junk Kouture competition.

Presentation College and Mercy Secondary School have two teams each through to the regional finals of the event that inspires young people to create fashion from recyclable materials.
Football gloves, floppy discs, drinking straws and plastic cutlery are some of the materials to feature in the four stunning creations that will take to the catwalk in DCU’s Helix theatre this evening, with the four models and their teammates hoping to secure a place in the national finals.
