Tuam’s superloo on the move soon in toilet transfer pact

TUAM’S much maligned ‘superloo’ could be moving to the country if local councillors get their way.

The facility, which was installed at the Shambles car park back in 2007 costs over €20,000 a year to run, despite the fact it is rarely used by the public.
Cathaoirleach of Tuam Municipal District Council Cllr Donagh Killilea believes it could serve the public better if it was moved to Rinville Park near Oranmore.
He raised the matter at this week’s meeting of Galway County Council, where he said his party colleague and member of Athenry-Oranmore MDC Cllr Martina Kinnane was in agreement with his suggestion.
