RAISING over a million euro for charity, Della Dolan’s weekly tea dance is well known for its philanthropy towards worthy causes, but there’s another side to this north Galway institution that has brought love to many of those who take to the dance floor every Sunday afternoon.

It’s over ten years since the event was launched and since then thousands of people from all corners of the county and beyond have gathered to share their love of music and dance.
For some these shared passions spill over and form the basis of romance, as was the case for Corofin couple Frances and PJ Madden.
Having met at a tea dance in 2008, ten years on the couple are happily married and regular patrons of the weekly dance where it all began.
