Ten days late but right on time for 2018

NEW Year's Day was certainly a day of firsts for the Sheehan family in Cloonboo. Baby Declan Martin Sheehan weighing 7lbs 3ozs was the first Galway baby of 2018, arriving at University Hospital Galway at 00.49am.

Baby Declan is also the first baby of proud mum and dad Caroline and Stephen who are also looking forward to their first year living in Co Galway in 2018.
The delighted new parents only moved back to Ireland in October after spending five years living in Perth, Australia – where they also met.
