GARDAÍ in Tuam are appealing for information following a break in at the Cathedral of the Assumption on Christmas night.

The incident happened some time after 8.30pm when the door to the sacristy was damaged and the room ransacked.
A small amount of cash was taken in the robbery and Gardaí are asking for anyone who was in the grounds of the church between 8.30pm on Monday and 8am on Tuesday morning who may have noticed any suspicious activity to contact them at Tuam Garda Station on 093 24202.
