Staff to move to new Primary Care Centre next week

TUAM’S new one-stop shop for public health care will be showcased to members of the public for the first time later this week.

Staff will move into the new multi-million Primary Care Centre on Purcell Road from next Monday, December 11.
However, the HSE is opening the centre’s doors to members of the public for a viewing of the new building and its facilities this Friday, December 8 between 1 and 3pm.
The centre will become operational on Monday, December 18 and is set to be open 24 hours a day as it will also be the base for the out-of-hours GP service Westdoc. It’s estimated the centre will cater for a population of close to 20,000 people in Tuam and surrounding areas.
