THERE was no mention of Tuam Stadium in the list of Co Galway clubs and organisations chosen for funding under the Sports Capital Programme, but that doesn’t mean the Gaelic football venue is out of the loop just yet.

All concerned with the redevelopment plans for the stadium are now awaiting details to be released of who is to get what from the regional assessments of funding out of the Sports Capital Programme.
The Tuam Stadium Committee's application, submitted for them by the Galway County Board, is in the regional category, as opposed to the local section, which was announced last week.
The results of their regional application will be known within the coming weeks, according to Kevin O'Dwyer, who is the PRO for DAFTS, or Development Advocates for Tuam Stadium.
