Motorway boost for Milltown

MILLTOWN is reaping the benefits of the newly opened M17 motorway with businesses in the village reporting a marked increase in trade in recent weeks.

The motorway opened last month in conjunction with the Tuam bypass and initial figures show an increase in traffic travelling north of Tuam.
Restaurant owner Cathal Sheridan said people from as far south as Limerick are opting to dine in Milltown since the motorway opened, as many of them take a break on their journey to Knock.
