Autism facilities double at Tuam school

A GROWING need for extra facilities for children with special needs in Tuam has led to a primary school securing funding for a second Austistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD) room.

St Patrick's PS recently relocated its ASD unit into the former St Patrick's secondary school, where funding has now been granted for the second classroom.
Principal Padraig Bermingham said the school would now have one of the best ASD units in the county.

“This further enhancement of our special needs facilities is yet another step in our efforts to provide a top class learning environment for all of the boys of the town.
