Martin's pride at RDS

AN Abbeyknockmoy man who had never sat on a horse until ten years ago came third in a national showjumping event at the Dublin Horse Show at the weekend.

Martin Flesk, a plumber by trade, is over the moon at his achievement and intends to enter again next year.
Martin, a 40-years-old, was introduced to showjumping through the Rockmount Riding Centre in Claregalway when his children started to show an interest in horseriding.
And while his three children, now aged 8, 10 and 12, lost interest in horses, it piqued his so much that he started taking lessons himself.
