Bride-to-be hopes fiancé receives vital transplant ahead of their big day

A BRIDE-to-be from North Galway is keeping her fingers crossed that her fiancé will be the one to have something borrowed when they walk down the aisle in a few months’ time.
Irene Nestor from Brownsgrove, Tuam is looking forward to marrying fiancé David Beirne but their Big Day would be even a bigger dream come true should David get the vital kidney transplant he needs.
The couple met in 2013, just a week before 29-year-old David from Knockcroghery, Roscommon, was diagnosed with kidney failure. Now four years on Irene and David will marry in July but in order to have a honeymoon out of the country David would have to take himself off the transplant waiting list – which isn’t an option.
