Five fab Tuam frocks to rock Junk Kouture

TUAM’S budding fashion designers are aiming to claim a place in the finals of this year’s Bank of Ireland Junk Kouture when they take part in the regional section of the competition later this month.
Shoelaces, broken CDs, paper clips and poker chips are just some of the materials that have gone into the five finalists to come from Mercy Secondary School and Presentation College, who will travel to the Helix in Dublin City University to take part in the regional final of the competition.
Tuam’s Eurovision hopeful Brendan Murray will perform at the event on Monday, March 13, where the town will be represented by five stunning frocks that will be modelled on the catwalk, showcasing the creativity and talent of the girls who have been working on their designs since last September.
