John hopes to wheel his way to top of Croagh Patrick

A brave young wheelchair user from Williamstown, John Tobin (29), who has Cerebral Palsy, has set himself a daunting challenge to climb the 2,500 foot Croagh Patrick mountain in September in his motorised wheelchair to raise funds for five charities.
John, who is one of Galway footballers’ most ardent fans, and who regularly meets the players in the dressing rooms, was not far from Croagh Patrick last Sunday but in the more relaxed surroundings of Castlebar’s McHale Park to see his favourite team win the Connacht Championship against Roscommon.
