Saolta backs Merlin Park site for new acute hospital campus for Galway

PLANS to build a new acute hospital for Galway at Merlin Park have taken a step forward this week with the Saolta Hospital Group backing the proposal.
Deputy Hildegarde Naughton is to facilitate a meeting between members of the group with Health Minister Simon Harris in the coming weeks to discuss the plans and secure funding for the new hospital which would replace University Hospital Galway.
