Brendan conquers Croagh Patrick ahead of Paris trek

ONE down, one to go in a novel charity cycle fundraiser that takes place over two countries to raise vital funds for Tuam Cancer Care.
Brendan Monaghan, a stalwart of Tuam Athletic Club, took advantage of the perfect weather conditions last Sunday to cycle to the foot of Croagh Patrick, which he climbed before cycling back to Tuam.
Setting himself a target of seven hours, Brendan crossed the finish line at the Square in just over six, having climbed the Reek in 34 minutes. He completed the ascent in 32 minutes
