Work further delayed on building tuams gaelscoil

PROBLEMS between the Department of Education and Galway County Council are being blamed for the long delay in work starting on a new purpose-built school for Gaeilscoil Iarfhlatha in Tuam.
A previous delay regarding the process of acquiring the site earmarked for the 12-classroom school was thought to have been resolved in late March and construction was due to start.
However, it has emerged that an issue regarding the Co Council taking in charge of a road leading to the site is causing further problems. It’s hoped this will be resolved when it comes before members of the Council later this month.
