Clonbernes tara impresses judges on the voice

A CLONBERNE woman who has made Donegal her second home has made it through to the next round of the TV show the Voice of Ireland.
Tara Gannon Carr met her now husband Joel when she moved to Sligo and the couple now live in Barnesmore near Donegal town with their two daughters.
However, Tara hasn’t abandoned her North Galway roots and her parents, brothers, sisters as well as aunts and other relatives crowded into a cousin’s house in Clonberne on Sunday night to watch Tara’ s blind audition on the popular singing talent show. Tara, who is a make-up artist, is well known for her singing voice in Donegal and is highly regarded in music circles in the North West.
She impressed the celebrity judges with her performance of the Motown classic 'Let’s Stay Together’ by Marvin Gaye and was selected by former singer with pop group S-Club 7 Rachel Stevens.
