Supermacs snack box goes supersize in times square

FORGET the packs of Tayto, bottle of Lucozade or the smell of crispy bacon – what reminds the more recent ex-pats of home is the signature Supermac’s Snack Box. And now the trademark of the fast food chain is being pitched Stateside.
Photos of the celebrated Supermac’s Snack Box which has made an appearance among the illustrious billboards of Times Square this week has become a huge hit on social media in the past 24 hours and is being shared at home and more importantly among Galwegians across America and further afield.
In its brightly lit glory the traffic stopping sign invited Americans to “come for the scenery, stay for the food” in Ireland.
Times Square is one of New York’s most prominent locations and was chosen to feature the giant Supermac’s signature which also reminded the Irish in New York that they are just under 3,000 miles away from their nearest Supermac’s.
