Gathering up the awards

SHARING well-cooked, locally sourced, fresh food in a family-friendly environment is proving to be a winning formula for a Tuam restaurant which picked up three national awards in the same week.

Gather restaurant on High Street is very much about family, especially as it is run by siblings Siobhan, Aoife and Darragh Flaherty who hail from Abbeyknockmoy.
The restaurant was Highly Commended in the Best Brunch in the Georgina Campbell Irish Breakfast Awards and just a few days later the team were thrilled to be presented with the Best Casual Dining and Best Kids Size Me awards for Galway in the Connacht finals of the Irish Restaurant Awards.
The restaurant celebrated its first birthday in November and despite some ups and downs both Siobhán and Aoife are thoroughly enjoying the journey so far.
