Tuam historical journal is out this week

THE 14th edition of JOTS, the Journal of the Old Tuam Society, will be launched on Friday night.

JOTS 14 will be officially launched by historian Dr Conor McNamara (NUI Galway) in the Kilcloghans Suite, Ard Rí House Hotel, at 8 p.m. on Friday, November 24.
This year’s edition features influential Tuam band Blaze X on the cover as well as a feature article charting the band’s successes and how their New Wave sound influenced the music scene in Tuam.
As usual JOTS is packed with a diverse mix of local articles and great photos which will be of interest to very many people.
This year there are features on the architecture of St. Mary’s Cathedral, prominent Fenian Mark Ryan, the tragic election of 1906 and travelling shops. All are welcome to the launch.
