Quilters show creativity

THE tenth annual quilt and patchwork exhibition is underway in Tuam, following an official opening ceremony in the Town Hall last week.

Madeline Jordan, a quilter from Westport, did the honours last Friday where she congratulated all exhibiting pieces on their wonderful work.
“There is nothing like making something for someone you love and a lot of love has gone into these quilts, each of which has its own very special story,†she said.
“Quilting is creativity par excellence and the talent on display here goes to show how lucky Tuam is to have so many wonderful people coming together to share their skills and make friendships that are the most special part of the quilting family.â€
