Working farm ready to transform to country life of 100 years ago

A MASSIVE shed where over 1,000 lambs were born just weeks ago is being transformed into a multi-exhibition space that will feature in a spectacular celebration of farming and country life from 1916 being held in Athenry next month.
A team of staff and volunteers are working on transforming the living farm at the Teagasc Mellow’s campus in Athenry into scenes from life in rural Ireland a hundred years ago.
An estimated 50,000 are expected to attend the two-day free event on Friday and Saturday, June 10 and 11.
