Casual yet chic

I’M not a barefaced kind of gal. I rarely leave the house without a pop of something on the lips and face before braving the great outdoors.
I see nothing wrong with taking three or four minutes to sweep on a drop of BB cream, lip gloss and a flick of mascara if that’s what makes you feel better – and for me, whether or not it’s needed – I’m happier with a little bit of cover-up.
Time isn’t always on your side so you need to have your go-to products to hand and know when enough is just enough.
The latest collection from Lancome is inspired by the Parisian casual chic – a look that seems effortless and understated.
At its core is a new palette that features everything you’ll need to keep you looking fresh-faced. As well as a large mirror (something that’s overlooked in some palettes) there are four eyeshadows, an illuminator to refresh your complexion, three brow powders to blend to achieve your perfect shade, along with a rich and creamy blush. There are also two expert brushes on board that can be used for eyelids and eyeliner.
There’s a limited edition shade of the Grandiose Mascara which has the patented swan’s neck stem for those hard to reach lashes. This burgundy shade can be worn alone, on lash tips or as a second layer over black for more punch.
Watch out for the gorgeous burgundy-pomegranate shade of nail polish which I assure you is a hugely versatile colour for toes and finger nails.
• The new make up collection is now available from Feely’s Pharmacy, Tuam and Lancome counters.
