First single and Westport Fest appearance for The Cabin Collective
GALWAYâ€â„¢S latest big band The Cabin Collective has been added to the fantastic line-up for the weekend music festival in Westport next month. The band, which features many familiar faces such as Leo Moran, Noelie McDonnell and Anthony Thistlethwaite, will perform on Sunday, June 30. They join a line-up of Christy Moore, Elvis Costello, Imelda May, The Waterboys, ABC, The Stunning and a host of Irish and international artists for what promises to be the best fest in the West this year. Itâ€â„¢s been a surprisingly hectic beginning to the life of the nine-piece band, which played its first live gig last month and has since appeared on The Late Late Show. The Cabin Collective will release their debut single, Lines Are Fading - a Keith Mullins song - on Friday, June 28. Galwayâ€â„¢s RóisÃÂn Dubh has chosen some of their favourite Irish artists, from electronic to bluegrass to rock to perform at the Westport Festival. These include Delorentos, Le Galaxie, Squarehead, Daithi, Funeral Suits, Kid Karate, Sleep Thieves, Mojo Gogo, Elaine Mai, In Their Thousands, So Cow, Dott, The Depravations, Doghouse and Stephen James Band. More than 60 artists will perform across five stages on Saturday and Sunday, June 29 and 30. There will be a tempting food and wine village dedicated to the best food from the west and this will include demonstrations by some of Irelandâ€â„¢s top chefs including Derry Clarke and Dylan McGrath.
