Editorial – Women show the way in sport

IT WAS refreshing that three Irish women dominated our viewing of the Olympic Games coverage on RTE TV on Bank Holiday Monday.
And while there was disappointment that the young sailor Annelise Murphy was just pipped for a bronze medal in her first Olympics, there was tremendous pride in seeing a young Irishwoman at one stage leading the Chinese eventual gold medallist.
