STEADY TRADE for all types of cattle at Tuam Mart on Monday. Bullocks made up to €935 over their weight and heifers made up to €940. Culled cows made up to €1,780. Cows with calf at foot made up to €1,800.
Cattle Sale every Monday at 11.00 a.m., followed by weanlings.
Sample prices of bullocks: one LMX 625kg €1,560; one BBX 600kg €1,525; one CHX 710kg €1,630.
Heifers: one LMX 550kg €1,490; one LMX 680kg €1,610; one CHX 585kg €1,490.
SHEEP. On Tuesday old ewes made up to €100 and lambs made up to €53.50 over their weight. Ewes with lambs at foot made up to €200. Lambs’ Sale at 5.00 p.m.
Sample prices: four lambs 48.5 kgs, made €102; 13 lambs 46kg €98; four lambs 44kg €90.

SHEEP Sale last Saturday had smaller numbers on offer than the previous week. Similar trade, if not a slight increase in prices. Smaller number of hoggets on offer. Stag ewes remain a firm trade.
Sample prices of lambs: seven at 46 kgs €97.50; nine 35.5kg €75; six 42kg €95.50; five 53kg €101; twelve 43kg €96.50; 20 at 45kg €99.50; seven 50kg €102; twelve 47kg €98.50.
