Award for Clonberne Country Music singer

CLONBERNE'S rising Country Music star Jason Travers and his band recently won Best Western Band at the Irish Country Music Awards. The 22-year-old singer was invited to perform on RTÉ's John Murray Show. Jason has been tipped by Daniel O'Donnell as â€Ëœthe one to watch in 2012' and he is about to launch a new single from his forthcoming debut album. Growing up, Jason's family home was always full of music. He began singing at an early age and sang every Sunday with his local church choir. He always dreamed of emulating the success of his heroes Johnny Cash and Ray Lynam. Despite interest from America and the UK, Jason decided to base himself in Ireland, hone his craft and prepare for a career in the music business. Jason will be touring over the coming months and no doubt his Co Galway fans can look forward to a local performance.
